South Summit School District would like to welcome all students, faculty, staff, and volunteers back for the 2016-2017 school year. We are excited for a successful year.
South Summit School District: Valuing students and preparing them for success.
We support, empower, and inspire individuals to promote and achieve academic and character excellence.
Superintendent Sorenson and Business Administrator Kip Bigelow joined in a conversation about community growth this morning on KPCW's Local News Hour. Listen in as they discuss the district's master planning committee and steps we're taking now to prepare for the future...
It has come to our attention that there is some confusion about the school lunch payment system. We are no longer using PayForIt. We are now utilizing K12PaymentCenter. If you haven't had any transactions on the new K12PaymentCenter account (deposited money, student has eaten, etc.) it may show a balance of $0, even if you show a balance in PayForIt. The money is still being held with the district. As soon as a transaction is made on K12PaymentCenter, the balance information will update and show your current balance. Please delete your PayForIt account, as we are no longer affiliated with them. If you have any questions, please email Whitney Leavitt, firstname.lastname@example.org.
School Bus Safety
Please use caution when following a school bus. We've noticed a significant number of cars passing our buses while the bus lights are flashing. When in doubt, STOP! Help keep our students safe on their way to and from school.
If you see a motorist passing a school bus while its lights are flashing please call Summit County Sheriffs Office Dispatch at 435-783-4356. Get a vehicle description and license plate number if you can.
