    Start Smart
    Start Smart is a program that helps your kid get ready for sports. It’s a step-by-step approach that builds confidence, self-esteem and makes sports fun. Your kids will learn all of the basic skills: throwing, catching, kicking, and batting. This class will run one day a week for six weeks. Please tell the Front Desk which class you are enrolling your kid.

    Development Program

    When: July 14-August 18, 2009
    Days: Tuesdays
    Where: TBA
    Time: 10:00-11:00 am
    Ages: 3-5 years old
    Cost: $20.00
    Limit: 10 kids per class

    Golf Program

    When: July 16- August 20, 2009
    Days: Thursdays
    Where: TBA
    Time: 10:00-11:00 am
    Ages: 5-7 years old
    Cost: $20.00
    Limit: 15 kids per class

    FALL
    Registration: August 17-29, 2009. Space is limited so sign up early!

    Flag Football Program

    When: September 3 - October 8, 2009
    Days: Thursdays
    Where: TBA
    Time: 5:00-6:00 pm
    Ages: 5-7 years old\
    Cost: $20.00
    Limit: 10 kids per class

     



    Summer Kid's Camp
    The South Summit Aquatic & Fitness Center is pleased to offer the Summer Kids Camp program for children in 1st-5th grades. This program will begin the week of June 8 and will end the week of Aug 5, 2009. This program will focus on sports, games, arts and crafts, and many other fun activities.

    Registration is from May 11-May 30, 2009

    Days: Mon/Wed
    Location: SSAFC Lobby
    Time: 10am-Noon
    Cost: $28 

    Rainy Day Policy: This program runs rain or shine. Due to lack of inside facilities, we are unable to conduct this program effectively in the rain. Our staff will report each day regardless of the weather. If a rain storm occurs, our staff has been instructed as to the best way of sheltering your children.



    Awesome Adventure
    Awesome Adventures is a unique program where kids ages 7-13 get to go on fun field trips every Friday. Recreation Staff and parent volunteers supervise all trips. Transportation is provided by South Summit School District buses. No children under the age of 7 will be allowed on these trips. Examples of activities are: a visit to Hogle Zoo, a trip to the Hollywood Connection, and a trip to Lagoon!

    Location: Meet at the SSAFC lobby

    10:00 am-4:00 pm (may vary)
    Dates: June 5 - July 31, 2009 (No field trip will be held on July 3rd.)

    Cost: Will range from $15 to $35 each week depending on activity. A 10 % discount and awesome T-shirt will be given to those that sign up for all eight sessions prior to the 1st activity. We will pay the way for volunteer parents to help supervise.

    Registration: May 11, 2009 and anytime afterwards during the course of the program. You must sign up by the Wednesday prior to the activity.



    2009 Diving Team

    2009 Pre-Comp Swim Team
    (no practice on Holidays or on school vacations)

    Summer Session:
    (9 week Session)
    (No Practice July 4, July 24)
    Date: June 8-August 6, 2009 
      Monday- Thursday, Practice
      Friday- Swim Meets
    Time: 10:00-11:00 am (Practice)
    Ages: Elementary, Middle & High School
    Cost: $75.00 includes T-shirt and other awards
      *2nd, 3rd child etc. is $50.00 (in same family)
    Registration: May 25-June 6, 2009

    Fall Session: (6 week Session)
    Date: October 12 -November 13, 2009
      Monday & Wednesday (Practice)
    Time: 3:30-4:30 pm 
    Ages: Elementary & Middle School
    Cost: $30.00
    Registration: September 28- October 10, 2009

    You can register after a session has started, but the cost is the same.


    Adult Tennis
    This program is designed to teach adults the basic rules and skills of tennis. Two sessions will be taught so if you have never played before or if you just want to get better, sign up for this exciting program. Bring your own racquet if possible. Balls and a few racquets will be provided.

    Dates: June 30 -July 22, 2009
    Days: Beginners/Intermediate –Tuesday & Wednesday
    Time: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
    Cost: $20
    Registration: June 8-June 27, 2009



    Adult Flag Football

    Dates:
    Begins August 26, 2009 and runs through October
        Wednesday- Open League
    Time: Games will begin as early as 6:00 PM
    Place: South Summit High School’s Football Field
    Cost: $325.00 per team

    Registration: will be from July 7-August 15, 2009. You can pick up the registration forms at South Summit Aquatic & Fitness Center’s front desk during regular business hours.



    Adult Basketball

    This is a fun way to stay in shape! There will only be one league this year, the Men’s Open League. Games will be on Thursday nights at the South Summit High School.

    Date: Begins December 3, 2009 and runs through February
    Time: Games will start at 6:30 PM
    Cost: $325.00 per team

    There will be 9 league games and a single elimination tournament.

    Registration: October 3 – November 21, 2009. You can register at South Summit Aquatic & Fitness Center’s front desk.
